Applications:
A high basic agglomerated flux specifically suited for
overlay / hard facing of steel mill rollers, earth moving
machinery, coal grinding equipment and other equipment
when used with high alloyed wires (both solid and flux
cored) containing Nb, V, Cr, Ni, Mo, etc. It can be used with
most Stainless Steel wires, both solid and flux-cored.
Flux characteristics: This flux is formulated to be completely homogenous in
nature. Excellent slag peel off at high base metal
temperatures and on pre-heated surfaces. Smooth defectfree
beads are produced with a self-peeling slag. Preheating
of flux is recommended if it has been dampened or
picked up moisture. The flux is also ideally sized and is
suitable for both manual and automated flux
feeding/recovery operations. Consistent weld metal
properties are obtained. Good Cr & Mn recovery with slight
pickup of Si in weld metal.
Usability: It is recommended that a maximum of **0 A & *5 V be
used on a single wire. Polarity: DC only. Applicable for
single/multi pass welds. Single, twin or multi-wire welding.
Mainly for use with high alloyed solid and flux-cored wires.
Weld metal Properties This will depend on the type of overlay /hard facing wire
composition being used.
Size: For all applications, *2 x *4 size is standard unless
otherwise specified by customer.
Packing: In *5/*0 Kg poly-lined bags, **0 Kg drums or as per
customer specification.
